The English Department maintains a curriculum that provides opportunities for students to develop their writing, reading, speaking, and listening skills. The program is a sequential one which encourages skill development and critical thinking. Students read a variety of texts each year in order to have a literary foundation on which to base their writing and thinking. The core program includes the required courses grades 9, 10, 11, and 12. Elective courses offer students the opportunity to explore more in depth an area of interest and/or skill development. Learning requisite skills in communication and thinking, students will prepare themselves for life after high school.
