About

Winslow Homer Center for the Arts, which opened in March of 1990 as part of an addition to Scarborough High School, has hosted hundreds of school and community functions including musicals, the Portland Community Chorus, People to People Student Ambassador informational meetings, storytelling events, business seminars, University of Southern Maine band and choral concerts, puppet shows, church services, ‘The Downeasters’ Men's Barbershop Chorus, the Portland Symphony Orchestra, and many more!

The auditorium is air conditioned and handicap accessible. The full auditorium has 730 seats; all rows lettered and all seats numbered. A dividing wall can split the auditorium in two, creating a more intimate setting of 418 seats in the front.

The Center has excellent sight lines and exceptional acoustics. We hope this website helps you find all the information you need about Winslow Homer Auditorium.
